Audiences UK and Voluntary Arts have negotiated with the company that produces audience development software AudienceBase to make it available free of charge to voluntary arts groups across the UK. AudienceBase is a simple but powerful software package for cultural organisations, allowing you to:

• record customer data quickly and easily;
• run targeted mail or email campaigns;
• conduct research;
• record event booking details and financial information.

Whether you promote events, festivals or exhibitions, AudienceBase can help.
While the software is only made available 'as is', and is not actively supported, it will run on any PC running Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7. No additional software is required, although you may be prompted to download the Microsoft .NET framework in order to run the AudienceBase.

European Choral Association - posted 27.8.2010 European Choral Association

The European Federation of Young Choirs and AGEC (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Europäischer Chorverbände) are to merge into the European Choral Association – Europa Cantat. The merger shall be prepared in 2010 and the organisation shall be merged at the beginning of 2011.

With the fusion the two organisations wish to bring together the knowledge and experience of two important European organisations, offer the choral world the best possible service, form one major European Choir Federation in Europe and strengthen the position of choral music within Europe.

Donegal County Council in association with the Donegal Volunteer Centre will be holding the second in a series of Volunteer Fairs planned for throughout the county on Tuesday 14th September 2010. This event will be held in the Lisfannon Suite, Inishowen Gateway Hotel in Buncrana, from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. A number of organisations that have volunteer vacancies will be present at the event to tell those attending about the opportunities available.

The volunteer opportunities on the evening range from participating in one off events to see if volunteering is for you to becoming involved with a group on a more permanent basis. Some of the areas where opportunities are available include: working with the elderly, outdoor volunteering, office based work, work in the media, life saving and working within the local community.

Donegal Volunteer Centre staff will be in attendance on the evening to speak about how they can assist by providing a link between people who want to volunteer and the organisations who need volunteers. will help you make the link between you and
