The BBC Audience Council NI invite to BBC Radio Services Discussion - posted 27.8.2010

area: BBC Blackstaff House Belfast
dates: 15 September 2010, 6pm - 8pm

Do you listen to BBC radio?
What do you value and enjoy / What would you change?

The BBC Audience Council wants to understand what listeners in Northern Ireland think about BBC radio services, in particular, BBC Radio Ulster and the UK- wide services, BBC Radio 3, Radio 4 and Radio 7.

The Audience Council is hosting a discussion event at the BBC on 15 September so that members of the audience can share their views on these radio services in an informal setting over a light supper.

The Audience Council will be joined by a member of the BBC Trust and a member of BBC Northern Ireland management, so this is a wonderful way to get your views across to key decision makers in the BBC.

Your views will inform major reviews of these services being carried out by the BBC Trust, the governing body of the BBC. The Audience Council advises the Trust on the interests and needs of audiences in Northern Ireland. This is one of a series of discussions the Audience Council is hosting to ensure that local voices are heard at the very heart of BBC decision making. There will also be an opportunity to share any views you might have about other BBC programmes and services. The Audience Council listens to all of this feedback to inform its advice to the BBC Trust and impact on important decisions about the services you receive.

You are most welcome to extend this invitation to colleagues, friends and family with an interest in BBC radio. If you would like to reserve a place(s) or find out more, please contact Jhoanna on 028 9033 8856 or e-mail audiencecouncil.ni@bbc.co.uk
More information about the BBC Audience Council NI can be found at: www.bbc.co.uk/acni
